When you attend one of my Bristol Yoga classes…

You will learn how a regular practice gradually reorganises the body, improving poor posture and breathing habits and restoring a sense of balance and stability.

Yoga can bring a sense of ease and serenity, reduce stress, anxiety and pain, help insomnia, manage weight gain and improve sporting performance whilst avoiding injury. Ultimately it will improve long-term health and keep you agile for longer.

The Yoga practice I share combines mindfulness based techniques that include; movement to strengthen, release, and improve posture, breath-work, energy release work, meditation and relaxation. We go beyond the mechanics of posture, journeying into the body to meet ourselves and connect with our inner-wisdom.

You will discover the power of listening to your body through the practice of physical Yoga postures, breath work and meditation.

I will encourage you to work sensitively with curiosity and compassion when practising each posture, so that you never move beyond the limits of your body or mind. Through a regular Yoga practice we will gradually cultivate the right balance of strength and suppleness, to allow you to move freely and fully into the postures.

Mindfulness, put simply, is paying attention.

It can improve our mental, emotional and physical wellbeing by taking us on a journey of self discovery. We learn to observe our emotions and recognise negative and disruptive habitual patterns of behaviour. By opening fully to our experience we begin to invite positive change; learning techniques to self soothe, manage stress, process strong emotions, change attitudes and our perspective.
