Yoga to help you live your best life.

Bristol Yoga Classes

The regular practice of Yoga has many benefits. You will feel physically and mentally stronger, calmer, more relaxed, lighter on your feet and more comfortable in your skin. This will support you both on the mat and in other aspects of your life.

I am often asked if I teach Beginners Yoga. The answer is my group classes are suitable for all levels. Come as you are, where you are and how you are. Expect to be challenged in a good way! We will never push the body further than it’s ready to go. I will welcome you and support you in your Yoga journey, wherever you are in your practice.

Supporting you on your journey to complete wellness.

I am a Bristol Yoga Teacher and Yoga Therapist, with ten years’ experience teaching Yoga classes in South Bristol and beyond. I offer group classes, workshops, retreats and one-to-one sessions.

Using Yoga as a complementary therapy we can promote natural, mindful ways of living, eating and healing to improve health, wellbeing and self-care.

What is Yoga Therapy you might ask?

Put simply Yoga Therapy is the application of Yoga techniques to address an individual’s specific needs. A common misconception is that Yoga is all about moving and stretching. But it is a useful tool for anyone who is:

·       Living in pain or discomfort,

·       Recovering from illness or injury

·       Suffering from other life limiting conditions

A general Yoga class can certainly help ease aches and pains, improve mood and overall wellbeing. But sometimes an individual approach is required, whether one-to-one, or in a small group.

A Yoga Therapist can support you with back pain, pain management, pelvic health (balancing and toning), women’s health, mental and emotional wellbeing, osteoporosis, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis and other health problems.

So much more than physical exercise…

Yoga can take many forms. My aim is to introduce you to the therapeutic benefits to be discovered through a regular Yoga practice. It feeds mind, body and spirit, improving both your physical and emotional wellbeing.

I teach simple Yoga techniques, to normal people, with common health problems. You don’t need to be super athletic or bendy, worship Hindu gods or understand Sanskrit.

I break through the boundaries and the jargon, using postures/physical exercise which addresses specific areas of discomfort or musculoskeletal imbalances, breath-work, meditation techniques and more, to improve emotional, psychological and physiological health and wellbeing.

The regular practice of Yoga…

increases body awareness, improves mental clarity, and relaxes both body and mind. It can help relieve chronic stress patterns, restore balance and aid the healing process.

Yoga is a complementary therapy that works alongside conventional or mainstream medicine, providing you with a set of tools to ease symptoms, and help with the prevention and treatment of health conditions, improve quality of life and empower individuals.

I’m always available to chat. So if you have any questions, please reach out, message me and I will do my utmost to respond promptly.

“Katy is an outstanding teacher with a very warm and caring personality. Her teaching style is thoughtful, knowledgable and intelligent. Through her classes I have a deeper understanding of Yoga and of my own body’s needs. I can highly recommend.””
